I was able to race a GTO last week on a track. It's kind of unusual up here because those cars can't be imported in to Canada so I don't get to rce them often. The guy was from Ohio and was pretty cool. I thought those cars were faster though (not trying to run anybody down). He ran a 14.03. I thought it was a drivers race pulling up to the line and everybody who was a t the track was either way faster or way slower than me, so I talked him into running me because I was getting bored.

 

LS1 GTO's are hard pressed to get into the 13's in a manual trans car given the average driver, you should pull on the LS1's with no problems at all... they are capable of mid-high 13's though

 

That's interesting...do you have his time on your timeslip? What was his trap speed?

 

x2.... it's the equivelant of witnessing a terminator make a 13 second pass... really needs a driver mod to get near what it is capable of.

They should start making people pass a"How to properly launch your Goat"class before they canbuy a GTO.

 

I'd like to know what his 1/8 was.....You can bet your bottom dollar that a LS1 Goat shouldtrap faster than 102mph.....

 

true. with a good driver they run well. bad driver they suck. just like any car.
