Default Ford Ranger Revving at me

So I'm cruisin in the stang today with the Wifey, and of course, checkin to see if there are any other cars out there that want to "get to their final destination faster than usual"... Anywho. I'm driving the speed limit or so, with my o/d on (so my exhaust isn't loud, just a quiet hummm), and this old pos ford ranger gets next to me, revs it for a sec, and floors it. Are you kidding me?

I gotta tell you, if I had a Ranger, and it was an ugly pos, and I saw a guy and a girl in his stang, the last thing on my mind is "i'mma race him". Is this guy serious?

Does anyone else have issues like this, with tards that have trucks, or cars, or whatever; that are slow as crap, that want to race, or mess with you? its kinda annoying.

Occasionaly. Ford Rangers or Chevy S-10's sometimes. When they get next to me on the freeway and rev(not that I hear them) and speed up and slow down incessantly and then take off, I pretent like I don't notice them. I'm not inclined to risk a ticket for the sake of stomping something that runs 17's.

aV8 smallblock swap into an S-10 isn't too unheard of... in fact, it's actually pretty common among gearheads... sometimes they might suprise you

True, but when that's the case they generally don't sound and move like they're stock. Some of these guys try to take off and I'm wondering if they're trying to race or just drive like crap.

Friend has a 94 4.0 Ranger. It's airbagged looks pretty nice, well on occasion he has been known to rev/fly-by some people while we laugh about it in the car. He did run like a 9.8@70 or something at the local drag strip(1/8th) so those automatic SN95s might be in for a surprise lol

Happened to me the other day this taurus kept revving and jumping back and forth at me for quite some time. I let it get to me and had to show the powa. He was happy thats all he wanted to see was how fast the car was. That is usually the case they know they are slow but see a car that looks fast and just wants to see it run.

I had a 1985 Ranger 5 years ago with a 306/T-5 that ran a best of 12.77 with no traction. It had loud paint and louder exhaust but there are plenty of sleeper S10's and Ranger's out there.
