Thats right around what I expected. All the other SRT-8 cars run low 13's and this one is basically the same

Definetly the GT. Stock for stock the SRT is gonna have a nice edge, but its closer than a GT500 vs SRT would be.

But if they were saying the SRT-8 starts around 40K, and a plain GT is around 30K, wouldnt the 'sticker' of 45K for a GT500 be closer competition?

Not that it matters, but I was just curious.

I'd assume next years R/T would be a better match for the GT.

ahh..n/m,, i asked Shelby GT, yea, that is around 40K (or 10K for 20 hp and some looks) my bad

If those are the srt 8 times its a little disappointing to see a 500 hp car in the 13s. If those are the #s for the RT than it is pretty impressive.

So what was the big deal about the SRT8 challengers having 500hp? Either way those times can be achieved by a stock LS1 so it really isn't to much to brag about.

Where do you continue to get 500 hp from?

It's the same 6.1 SRT motor in the Charger and 300C.

13.1 is pretty respectable for such a large car.
