Default horrible i know...

hey guys i was wondering... about 6 months ago was the last time i was at the track and i got a 14.01 @102mphwith a 2.4 60 ft time, yes i need tons of practice. Now if anyone has done a simular 60ft/et when you finally knocked the 60ft down to 2.1 or less what kind of times where you seeing?
i have about another 2 weeks before i can find out for myself. thanks guys

Wellll.. it's a little bit different for me cause I've got the mach, but the first few times I took mine to the track stockI was getting 13.5/6 's on 2.4 and 2.5 60's.. What really determines your et's, and this is just me, so the more experienced guys I"m sure will chime in if I'm wrong, but it's the mph on the top end. That's what a crappy 60 damages the most I think. It just takes like you said, time and practice. I ended up destroying the 1st of two 3650's I had on my car just practicing launches and learning how to feather the throttle on take off cause I was romping it and spinning something fierce.. Granted, I was running on stock tires, but I think once you've had the seat time to really get used to your car and your set up, and maybe get a set of DR's or slicks, your et's will come down to a certain point brudda.. Once I got my launches down my ets went from consistent 13.5's and 13.6's to consistent 13.2's and 13.3's.. So I could easily see you going maybe high 13.6's or mid 13.7's but not much more than that methinks.. Just my .02 broham..

Well first of all, dont buy into that 1 tenth on the little end equals 2 tenths on the big end nonsense. With a trap speed of 102 you'll probably run 13.7s or 13.8s. Just figure with your power what ever you cut off your sixty time will also come off that 14.01

Not the clutch, the synchros and the shift fork in the tranny.. Ground half the teeth off my gears figuring out how to powershift too, but then I"m a stubborn bastard and I was out there doing this three or four times a week till I figured it out.. lol

But yah, beasties description is a little bit more accurate on the et's.. I'm not so good at sayin things in the simplest terms like he does.. LOL I tend to get all discombobulated when I try to explain stuff..

Man I wish I could afford to beat on my transmission like that so that I could learn how to drive the car faster but I just can't afford to fix it if I break it right now.

I'm so paranoid about breaking stuff I haven't even done a burnoff and I've had the car for 3 months now.
