Default launching an auto

I have had 5speed mustangs all my life and now i have an auto o7 gt. my question is what are you guys stalling it up to at the track when u leave? i tried flat stabbing it i tried 1500 and 2000. my best run was at 1500. 13.327 @ 102.98 with a 1.974 60ft. is that good for a stock auto with only upr cold air and sct 93 tune?

Thats a pretty respectable time for an auto with your mods. Are you running the stock street tires?

upr cold air? i don't think i've heard of that one.. from what i've been reading thats a pretty decent time.. da and altitutde and all that might have played a part too? or is that adjusted? you might be able to bring it down to a 13.2 or 13.1 from what some people say.. but thats probably about as good as it gets with just intake/tune otherwise stock.. I'm planning on going to the track as soon as it stops raining here.. so we can compare...im at 3300ft elevation here.. I think for us gears/driveshaft can play a big role.. i have the 3.31s in mine. how about you? LCAs another big one.. you can easily dip in the high end of mid 12s with those 3 mods..

Is 13.327 from your time slip? If so, then that avery good run. And agree with Mishri. These engines respond extremely well to low elevations, and cool, dry air(Plus a well prepped track).1 or 2members have run in the 12's with only a CAI and a tune under those conditions.

+99999 Im not an auto but I know the difference the above to make. Also LCA's are lower control arms. Just about everyone replaces these to reduce/eliminate the wheep hop.

With the stock converter you just need to practice really. Find out the highest rpms you can launch at while minimizing wheel spin.
