Stock LT1 Auto Results
This is old but I was digging for an old post on the MFBA today (from 2001) and found this...
60 : 2.114
330 : 5.930
1/8 : 9.079
MPH : 78.34
1000: 11.800
1/4 : 14.115
MPH : 97.03
In case anyone is curious as to what a stock LT1 pass looks like.
My 1/8th was slightly better than I remembered (thought it was 9.1)... pleasantly suprised. (I am looking for the actual slip but after this many years..haha..good luck finding that)..
Cheers.

honestly my mph is lower than any of the LT1 autos that were on the board at that time.... the car would occasionally slip going into 3rd gear....8 days after I made that pass it grenaded on the highway while I was passing a car. It got modded to hell afterwards so I can't say if it hurt me on the top end or not...

I've been getting sick of everyone saying that any time a LT1 faces a New Edge, the LT1 always has the big advantage stock to stock.
This proves, that on your 'average day' with an 'average pass' the LT1 is right in the ball park with a well driving New Edge.
I'm not saying that perhaps the 14.1 in the auto LT1 is not a bit better than the normal auto new edge, but everything I've been listening to puts the average lt1 into the high 13's
That 60' is right around what I was cutting with my car the last time out (4.10's & partial exhaust) and I was going about the same ET with 2-3 more mph trap.
But yea, a 6sp should be able to do a bit better.
