WS-6 vert
My brother-in-law's brother (I can explain some other time) showed up this weekend with a black 2000 Ram Air vert. He let me take it for a ride and I thought it would be a low 13 to high 12 car. The car has some sort of chip in it and that was all. What are these cars supposed to run? I'm going to take him to a track in the next few weeks and see exactly what it will do.
Got this from sight called maximum.

the vert will go a little slower due to the weight, but those performance specs have been so misquoted....
all ls1's make 350hp from the factory floor. the ratings were so bogus
also, the chip thing irks me something fierce. people use it to sell cars but it is physically impossible to chip and ls1, and the "chips" for the lt1s except for the 93 are these shady *** inline modules rather than a real chip. there is no removable map containing chip on the 4th gen fbody pcm. its probably stock as a rock.... Ive had dealers tell me before on an lt1 "yeah, and this baby has a special chip that gives it 400 horses. she really moves!"
I turned around without a word and just left his dumb *** standing there smiling like an idiot.

Yeah, the chipped thing annoys me as well. About the only thing chipped these days are Diesels, and even then the real stuff is in PCM tuning like EFI Live and the like...
