In my 04 gt w/intake, x pipe, cat back and a short throw i do the same to foxes. I have raced several of them and beat them all. there are some really fast ones dont get me wrongbut for the most part alot of the drivers are like srt4 owners, they think there the fastest things on the roads and there definatly not!

I know I'll seem ultra biased but hear me out. Since we know5/8ths of **** all about the OP's car, I'll assume it's stock. Do any of you honestly believe a New Edge can "pedal" a fox the way he describes? When you offset the differentiation in HP, factor in the torque and weight #'s, it just doesn't seem to unfold the way he tells it. New Edges don't "toy" with foxes. What gives? Does anyone know what he's got?

If you think '91 is old then you must not be able to vote yet. I'll race you with my '67.

I know that where I live a few years ago every guy under the age of 21 owned a fox body with just a cat back and CAI and thought the cars were the fastest things on the road. If all the guy had done to the fox was an exhaust and maybe a CAI then with the OPs mods I can definitely see him seriously toying with a near stock fox. I knows it took a couple blown or stroked foxes to change my perception of them.

These days you're lucky if you can find a decent one for under 5.

You forgot the cowl hood, those make them 5 times faster!

Hmmmm I used to own a fox and now own an SRT-4, I must be seriouslly delusional about how fast things are.

I'm not saying foxs or any other car can't be fast. you can pull the motor out of any car completly redo it and have a bad *** car look at the civics stock they are turds put a turbo on it and redo the engine there fast as s***. but here is the math stock for stock 1991 mustang gt 225hp 1993 mustang gt 205hp, 1995 gt 215hp, 1997 gt 215hp 1999 - 2004 gt 260hp 302tq.
if i had to guess with my mods I would say bump it from 260 to around 285hp maybe more going to have it dynoed at steeda probably in 2 weeks to find out for sure. but by them it will be more at the same time having headers and udp done. but I will tell you I'm glad I don't just read what everybody sayes about these 2v engines and how they suck I'm happy with my new edge and all the mods so far. but i'm not blind either I know that the 2005 and up gts are faster and if they do the same mods they would be even faster. 300hp start point compared to 260 start point. that is where it realy lies.

Don't be mistaken, 2vs really do suck unless you go FI. I love new edges but the 2v is seriously lacking in the power department, you mentioned hp numbers but you forgot that87-93 5.0spushed out just as much torque as your 2v with 40 year old technology. HP isn't king, torque is.
