Full exhaust, a pretty good loping cam, and who knows what else on the C5.
Shelby wasnt stock either hanging with him like that since they can't hang with a well driven Z06 even stock and a cammed and full exhaust C5 would give a C5Z a good run for its money if not beat it outright.

you mean trucks like this? 3920 lbs isn't horrible.. on the other hand.. if it were about 300lbs lighter it would be quite a bit better I think.. just remember the new challenger weighs in at over 4000lbs (charger srt-8 at 4100lbs) and the corvette has everything designed for light weight. they did all sorts of weight savings on the c5 z06s.. I think the GT500 is basically a mustang GT with a bigger s/c engine in it

 

Basically. They reinforced everything to handle the extra power and they changed the front end. That's aboot it. Still want one though.

 

New Brembo's, a new suspension, bigger meats out back, a 6 speed vs a 5 speed, a completely new engine, etc. How is all that basically a GT with a S/C?

If you search some other videos it says that the ZO6 had 445 RWHP.That out of a 405 base HP ZO6 is a big step up in power.What was that fool thinking?

 

He didn't get beat that bad. I've pulled away from cars ALOT faster than that before. A win is a win though.
