Hondas Really Do Stink
It wasn't the fact that he beat me... It was that he SHOULD have beaten me by ALOT more. Engine was stronger and car is much lighter than mine. I shouldn't have been that close to him at the end of the 1/4.

OK I can't say TOO much bad about the Honda because my supervisor has one and it runs like a champ. It's all motor and he's pulling low 11's in the quarter mile. So with that being said...
I was at a red light on the way home today, and I still have that damnable Check Engine light on, which after having bought a locking gas cap now I'm convinced it's the EVAP Pressure Sensor. Anyway, he was revving his ricer and looking at me and the road ahead was a hilly but straight 1/2 mile. Now since my 96 Mustang is an automatic, I shifted down into first gear and as soon as the light turned green I gunned it. I noticed I beat him off the line by a good 1/2 car length, even though he won the 1/4 mile.
My knowledge is that even though he won the 1/4 mile, it wasn't by much, only by about 1/4 - 1/2 a car length. And he was driving a CRX. I felt REALLY good and had a ten mile wide grin when I got home this morning.

'96 Mustang Base, no mods as of yet. Only changed the plug wires, plugs and air filter at this time with a front brake job... machined rotors, had them turned and top of the line ceramic pads.
My next mod will be by year's end - Pypes 409 Stainless Steel Dual Catback System from American Muscle.
