how do you stop from rolling at the track?
well i never race a 5spd at the track and i dont know if the car will roll while staging. does the car need to b stopped at all from rolling and how would u go about stopping it? ie handbrake or footbrake
are you talking about the burnout? if you are you do a powerbrake( accelerate, than dump clutch fast and step on brake hard) this you should try on an isolated street before embarrasing yourself at the track. If you're talking about staging, you slowly roll forward until BOTH staging lights are on, then brake till a standstill, then accerate with clutch fully pressed then slip out quickly on green(after 3 yellow lights). With time you will start launching at the third yellow instead of green, this will lower your reaction time.
umm, mine doesnt ROLL when im at the Staging Line, I would imagine Holding the Break Lightly?
Is ur Track on a Hill? THe time doesnt Start untill you Cross the line so u can roll a little bit forward.. Try Deep Staging???

feel your clutch..eventually you will find out the sweet spot at where your car starts to move depending on the position of the clutch...once you feel it start moving push it back in just a bit...thats when you accelerate to whatever rpm you feel you dont bog down at. try launching at the 2nd or 3rd yellow depending on how fast you can react...i take off when the 3rd yellow is about to change and i cut 5.1 and 5.0 alot...

I've rolled at the staging lines before. Believe me, it's annoying as hell.
I actually have a 30 second time slip that happened because I started rolling, forgot how my clutch worked and killed the car, and as it jolted forward, it crossed the line. lol
can you say embarrassing?

Could be a clutch grabbing issue or a really unlevel track.Try pumping the brakes a time or two before releasing them to get the pads to stick and help with the roll.Or find a level track if at all possible.I've seen some tracks that look unlevel and that really sucks. When i was a kid I went to a track that literally went up a slight grade[:'(]

If your rolling at the line it might indicate that your clutch is slipping.[:@]
