Default went to the track..... lil help

today my buddy and i went to the track, he has a 2002 mustang gt with 5 speed ,after market shifter, aluminum drive shaft, exhaust, 3.83 gears i think thats what he said, bbk cai a predeture tune and some other minor ones. long story short my best time was a pb at 13.9 @102mph with a 2.266 60foot, his was a 14.6. Now for roll racing on the way home, we went from a20,40,60 roll several times. Each time i walkedhim HARD and just kept pulling we usually stopped at around 80 some were 100. and i had a passenger with me. but is doesnt makes sence to me as he is modded pretty well i think, considering i have only two minor mods the cai and tune and i always left him, what gives? you could say driver mod maybe for the track but not so much for roll racing. what do you guys think.

OH almost forgot the guy he bought his gt from was claiming it had 330hp, which i think would be a guesstimate, especially considering i should at the most have 315hp. Man i really though he was going to at least hang with me today, but guess not

I'm going to find that guy that told him the 330hp number and **** on his forehead and rub it with my *********.

He's probably making at most 295hp at the crank, give or take a few. What were your trap speeds?

this sound about what i would expect you walking him, but he does need some practice cuz 14.6 is too slow for a new edge

Story Sounds Right, U Should WALK him from a roll.... Your car can hit Mid 13's with a Good Driver. At the Track he shoulda been closer to you(ive never had a good run at the track lol) but not everyone can Drive....

yeah i figured at least a 13.6 because if i just get my 60 foot to a 2.0 or better then thats pretty much a 13.6 or7 just need to learn to launch better and possibly power shiftsecond geari already power shift third.

well with the launch i would only go to about 2k then feathure it out, is that to low?

And i have a question for you guys; how many of you power shift second? i already do power shift third as in a never take off the gas as i shift because third is our worst gear and that helped a couple tenths, but i am afraid that if i power shift second that way i will spin, any thoughts.

and any guesses on what my buddy shoudl be running with his 02 with a good driver? he got a 14.6 with a 2.2somthing 60 as well.

if your going to run @ the track with any frequency get a set of rim with DRs to us. you'll be able to launch harder and powershift all you want.

IMO on street tires if you PS you will likely spin the rears

well i have basicly the exact same car as your friend and i ran a 13.71 at 103 with a 2.0 60" so i would think he should be right around there or something is wrong with his car

yeah i figured with stock tires i would spin them in second.

97 mustang you must be one hell of a driver then. but he just needs practice just like me.
