On my way to run some errands this evening I pull up to a red light and I look in my side view and see a Acura NSX pull up beside me (two lanes)...He had some badass looking rims (black five spokes with chrome lips)....Since I hav'nt had any runs in a while, and he had dark tinted windows so I was unable to get "the look" so to speak on wanting to race, so as a precautionI paddled down to 1st gear incase he trys to punch it on green so I can get a run...I have yet to race from a dig in my C6, so I was anxious to see how this car hooks up.....Well the light goes green and he puches it....I immediately get on it, I had a slight traction issue for a split second, and then I hooked.....First gear I gained what I lost by him punching it first....Second gearI started pulling harderand pulled to the point that he seen me going past his front door, then I let off....It's a busy surface street (speed limit 35) and I thought it would be foolish on my part to put x amount of lengths at the risk of losing my license.....When we got to the next lightwe both rolled down the window and I said "you have a sweet ride, is it modded"...He replied "yes"...Then I asked, "Have you had it dynoed?"...Then he said, "Yeah, It dynoed at 305"......He asked if my Vette was a Z06, and I said "nah, just a base Vette"..Allthough he needs a lesson on how to distinguish the difference between a base/Z06...He was taught a lesson of the great low end torque that American V8's put out...

Good kill! I hear ya on the not wanting to lose your license thing, I'm think the same way. I'm surprised you didn't get the usual "unless you race to 100MPH, it's a ***** race" crap I usually get. I guess that's the perks you get being a vette owner

 

Unless that person (thats ripping me on running up to 60-70mph) is paying my traffic fine and works for the department of motor vehicles that has the authority to remove points off my driving record.....If they can't , then ***** 'em.....[sm=shootshoot.gif]
