Definite First Kill!!!
OK So yesterday I attended the 1st ever Hoover Dam Car Show. Yes, my baby girl was in it, and actually quite a few people took interest in her. I still don't know why, as there were several '06 - '08 vehicles and several much older than mine in the classic range. But it still made me feel good nonetheless.
Well on the way home, a guy pulls next to me at a red light and starts revving his engine and looking over at me then down the road. There's a stretch of road that's about 1/2 mile straightaway. So I gave him my "let's go" look because I was pumped from the car show as it was. My girlfriend was with me in the car and she said "Show this guy how it's done".
Now mind you, I made some VERY minor tweaks to my engine *AT* the car show like doing an adjustment here and throwing an adjustment there. Nothing big. I have my '96 Vert 3.8L and he had a Chrysler Sebring obviously modified from the sound of the engine. The light turned green and I decidedly beat him off the line, but he was able to keep up with me for the most part. At the end of the 1/2 mile straightaway, I had him beat by about 1/2 a car length.
I know it wasn't much, but a win is a win is a win. I definitely felt good after that one, and after being pumped already from the car show? I had a DAMN good day yesterday!!

well congrats on the kill! and congrats on the people checking out your car at the car show.. I hope you got some compliments! I went to a car show yesterday and there were some cars that shouldn't have been there.. mostly all classic very nice gorgeous cars..a couple of delorens then there were a couple of Jettas and a couple riced out cars.. and a crx with no visible mods other than a CAI going along the fender, still dirty.. as long as your car inside/out/engine was clean then nice job! oh.. I also saw an s197 GT with a racer boy wing on it and a K&N Intake and an autozone antenna and dirty engine bay. I also felt didn't deserve to be in it..
