The dude has a 1996 Chevy 1500 Truck with a vortec. Said he couls run 12s or 13s in teh quarter. I asked him what he had done and he said it was STOCK. I then told him i would give him 100$ if he ran 13s I told him at BEST we was going to run high 14s

OOPS!Hope he didn't mean VORTECH as in blower with about 12 pounds of boost or you are out $100.Chances are slim though since he said stock,Probably meant 1/8 mile.That would be closer to the truth.

 

If his Tahoe runs better I'd be surprised... Hell my Denali runs mid 14s (with a dyno tune, LTs, and catback on an L92, with the stocker 20s) 15 stock.

But seriously, I can see the dudes truck running those times.... In the 1/8th.

 

LOL.. I know, I was being sarcastic about the tahoe, though I would bet it'd probably be pretty close between the two.. No way in hell if the guy the OP is talking about is running an N/A 96 C1500 truck, could he run 13's.. Even with a tune and DR's he'd still be mid to high 14's.. So yeah, I'd have to agree with you there.. he could run 12's.. in the 1/8th..

Yeah, but I bet it gets better than the super awesome 13.3MPG COMBINED I get in mine...

Though, mine is all chromey... yeah, that makes it all better.
