Her car ... 07 gt 5 speed with airraid intake.
Friend was driving her car with her in it.

Last night my g/f, best friend, and i just got back to our house. My g/f and i were talking crap on which car is faster. So we say we will race. We were going to go on interstate. On our way We raced from a stoplight but my friend was sleeping at the light a little we both spun a little, i shifted into 2 at 4,500 because i started to spin. I was still a decent amount ahead at 60, then we let off.
We got on interstate went from a 40mph rollthird beep. My third beep he jumped out to where i was at his rear bumper. I got beside him rightas i shifted into third. I then proceeded to keep pulling pretty hard on him up untill 125-130ish. I would say i was a good 2ish mabey morecars in front in the end. I asked him if it was a good run and he said yea.
My g/f was mad when we got home because she said "my car cant even beat a damn NEON". it was funny. she is still pouting about it

Note that i love mustangs. This is not a bash in anyway at all. ive owned 7 5.0 foxes. May trade my neon in on a new one. Ima a Big mustang guy. Went to carslile also...great show!

Iknow it is from a roll but boo hoo. We are planing from a stop but not that night. We are also going to race my 85gt.

the drivers of the mustang did not know his shifpoints because witho those mods you are not gonna beat a S197 GT with CAI (which is not much without a tune!!!

They are not that bad from a roll especially 5 speeds manuals , however a kill is a kill congrats [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

 

he shifted fine trust me, he is also a big mustang guy.
he didnt miss a gear or anything.
Ive seen ALOT if srt4s with my mods run 12.90s. have you ever experienced these mods on stock turbo.
i was also only spiking 16ish holding 13-14 psi.

 

by the way, i was very surprised i beat it by what i did....very surprised. Her car feels like it has more top end also.
idk how much you know about stock turbo srts. But ive seen several put down 270-300hp with over 330 torque.one with my same mods did 275 and 331. (not clipped or ported anything)

 

Wow your buddy in the Mustang can't drive. Those mods should put you in the same ball park as a GT (E/T wise)just not quite enough to pull of a win if the GT has a good driver. Sounds like fun. Be careful playing with your girl in the cars.

So, let me get this right ok. With just a few simple mods, the car goes from running mid 14's to high 12's? Provided, that is on DR's or Slicks right?

My buddy who can drive, ran a 14.2 stock, and with just bolting on an intake, he ran a 13.5 @ 104. So, with the right driver, and a good intake, mustangs respond well, especially his 3V. just FYI.

 

he did hit the revlimiter once, but i was a god bit ahead by then anyway.
if anyone doesnt believe, ill do it again with him driving my car and me in my g/fs.
or anyone else have a gt with a cai....just for sh*ts and giggles

My friend ran a 13.7 in his srt bone stock. Bone stock. But i have also seen them run 14.5s. They are really pickey with drivers. Yeas that is on slicks. street tires probably run like a 14.00 haha.
I know alot about the new mustangs. Respond very well to botlons. The airraid intake you can use without a tune, or with a tune. We have the factorysize meter so it is untuned.

 

13.70 sounds very hard to believe bone stock? Do you have a slip, or the stats on his slip? what kind of 60ft, 1/8th, ET, etc....
