I was cruising on the highway and pulled up next to a Red GTO. As I got up beside him, he gave it a bit of gas and pulled away from me. Now I knew he was game for a race so I down shifted into 3rd and pulled up beside him. I tossed him a rev, he laughed and we were off. Right out of the bat I put 2-3 cars on him, babied it into 4th (still on the stock T5) and by the middle of 4th I'd say I was about 4-5 cars ahead of him. He got back up beside me, we tossed thumbs up to each other, and we were off on our own ways.

Here is my question for those that are GTO experts, his car was debadged. All it said on it was GTO not 5.7 nor 6.0. The rear of the car however had factory dual exhaust which looked just like this:



Now, did only the 6.0's come with the duals like this or did the 5.7's come with them as well?

EDIT: by the way both cars have dual exhaust, its just that 5.7 have only one exit!!!

 

just the 6.0L's have aninsert and dual exhaustlike that from the factory... and with the RWHP you are putting down it's quite obvious what was going to happen lol

Very much so. Your car looks identical to his. Nice to know it was the 6.0 and not the 5.7. What do the 6.0's tend to trap in the 1/4th? Thanks for all the compliments.

 

They usally run like 15.2 @ 95 thru the 1/4

my auto trapped 104MPH stock... manuals get anywhere from 106-108MPH on a good day stock

just from what I've seen anyways

very very VERY few 109MPH's have been clocked... but it's a rarity

 

They all trap 109.

 

Wow, I would have expected more out of them with that kind of power. I guess their weight really hurts them.
