Stock GT Takes Down Lightly Modded Z
Sup dudes,..
My friend just got his JDM 350Z (Pre-owned). It's an 04 with 60xxxkilometers on her. They said it was stock when he got it online but when it arrived it was a total different car then the pictures they send except for the color. It has a ducktail spoiler, 18"Volk Racing wheels 275 in the back 245 front. Also has a HKS Exhaust, HKS CAI, and there are some cables labeled "HKS Groundwiring".. His Z shifts totally different then mine, it makes the coolest sputtering like sound everytime, so i think he might also have a chiptune. Ofcourse he didnt complain and was excited about it.
I raced him with my Z and he beat me by 3 to 4 carlenghts. I was a little surprised. He got cocky and said that he'd probably take my stang down 2. I didn't leave it at that, and went to get my GT, though i admit i was a little nervous.
We went 3 times, and i beat him by 1-2 car lenghts. He had a bumper on me in first, but by mid-end of 2nd i gained on him and had a bumper on him.. (first run i was thinking "****! i'm he's gonna reel me in in 3rd!) but that didnt happen instead i passed him, and was atleast afull car length ahead of him. All 3 races ended up with the same results...
All in all, i'm proud of my STOCK GT for keeping up with a lot of lightly modded sports cars. Ofcourse i also know what i'm up againstbefore each race (Google hehe..)

After my stall my next two mod's were wheelie bars and a drag chute.

Interesting.. I ran a stock one at the track and beat him pretty easily. Thought a well driven GT would be pretty close to a Z28 stock vs. stock.

dangt06.......why start picking on the camaro owner, just cause we're on a mustang forum?? Your comment is so irrelevent to the conversation. First of all, the title clearly reads "lightly modded z". Therefore, bs would be instantly called by most folks that a stock gt beat a modded z28. Secondly, just to prove your point wrong, theoreticaly speaking, a very well driven gt can take down an ls1. Buuuuuut, maybe since you beat that 1 ls1 "soooo bad", could it be possible that the ls1 owner was equally as bad a driver as you are "good"?
