Daily driver,SRT4 Caliber.Waddaya think?
I test drove an SS HHR and while it pulled longer in the powerband it didn't feel as quick as the Caliber. The SS also didn't have the torque steer that the Caliber had.But I'm leaning towards the Caliber. The HHR is a little on the fugly side to me.The caliber looks better.I'm not liking the amount of torque steer though.
OK SS HHR,about 23K.Same deal on a Caliber SRT.Anyone here have or know anything about either.Modability?Etc.
It is kinda sounding as if I'm leaning towards the Caliber.I am.Unless someone can give me some info that would point otherwise.Any help is appreciated.

That torque steer does suck, but the CSRT-4 will walk all over the HHR SS. The SS is still pretty cool imo, but if it's all out performance you're looking for and modability, you're better off with the Caliber. Sounds like you've already maybe have your mind made-up.
How are the seats in the SS?

SS seats aren't too bad.Seem supportive enough but the vehicle itself didn't feel as if it would need a lot of side bolstering. Thanks for the aftermarket link!I'm going back tomorrow to re road test the Caliber.
I stopped by the dealer the other day and checked out the SRT4. Kinda reminds me of the GLH Omni. It's pretty nice. I am biased towards turbo Mopars though. I've had 8 over the years. The old 8 valves, not the new one's. I'm currently working on an 88 Daytona I just picked up; trying to get it in the 13's.
I'm guessing that most of the mods available for the SRT Neon would work on the Caliber as well.
Go Mopar!

The caliber has the luxury of having SRT-4 written on it when it comes to mods. A lot of the dealers that made NSRT-4 aftermarket parts are already onboard with the CSRT-4
With the exception of the Mustang & the Cobalt SS, there's not many good looking sports cars in the 25 grand and under catagory. It seams like if you want a cheap toy with *****, you'll have to settle for less than attractive styling.
