Wow.....that is amazing. Whether you can smell the clutch or not, you can sure see tire smoke and you can sure feel the front (or rear) of the car going a bit sideways. There is no excuse for that. I've had bad clutches and I've never pulled a stunt like that for more than 2 seconds. What a character......lol

It looks to be like he started his burnout and the clutch took a poop. and numb nuts kept trying to get the car into gear even after he destroyed the clutch.

so he was in gear, clutch dumped, gassing it thinking he was spinning the tires?

he must hae had one hell of an imaginary line lock to have been holding soo still during a burn out

I remember. It does not slip at all.

Not to go off topic, too much at least... I raced a Z28 wtih H/C/I + Full exhaust fron 2nd gear @ 40, and After I shifted, I smelled some burning. It smelled just like the time when it smelled when you were driving.

.
you must have kept your foot on the clutch a little and gave some gas and slipped it between shifts or something if you smelled clutch. Your clutch wasn't slipping when the car was here. clutch smell is one of a kind, you will know it when you smell it.

When I want to PS? Don't understand the term <-Blonde

Well, it is like I powershifted, but I didn't. I hit third lightning fast! It smelled only a little bit though. You were right though Erdal, I don't regret it. I like it better then Flabber....

Is there a way I can launch the car? I tried once, let the clutch snap just enough to move the car, and not make the rear end bounce, then let it go the rest of the way, at 4K RPM. I spun a bit, and after I smelled a little clutch. From what I have seen, people are able to launch the car like a mo'fo off the line, and the car doesn't bounce around.

Gotcha. Sorry, it's Friday syndrome. I think I can power-shift if I adjust where my clutch disengages, but not now. I can shift pretty damn fast. It's all because of Erdal.

Back on topic- What if I tried to rev to 6K, let the clutch go half way, to get the car moving, then let it go the other half, all in a fast motion. Will that be hard on the clutch? I would think not.

hell yeah it's hard on it, the slipping part is what prematurely wears out the clutch
