i got an 01 auto v6 conv. w/ true duels & flows, a k&N intake, and u/d's. A couple months ago i posted up a question what would it take to beat a stock 01 RSX. everyone was sayin that i needed a hand tuner and maybe some gears and a t-lok, then i would have a CHANCE. so then today me and my friend with the stock auto RSX decided to race and i hadnt got anything you guys told me to get yet, so i thought i was gunna lose badly. So we took off from a stop and both started at the same time and i was pullin him pretty easily surprisingly. when we got to the street sign down the long stretch of straight road we finished and he was about 3 car lenghths behind me at like 80mph! i was like wow, what went wrong? i thought i was gunna lose. so we went again and the exact same thing happened, only i got a lil better launch so i was about 4 car lengths ahead. Hmmm now that i got the RSX off my list from the cars at school.

For future reference, its the RSX Type-s you really need to watch out for.

 

yea i got one of those at my school too. and also when we were making our runs, a '01 Honda NSX was coming our direction, i was so tempted to see if he wanted to go. NSX's are over-rated. fast, but they aint no super car. i knew i would have gotten a beat down, but i was to see what it had.

 

The reason people were telling you that you would need bajosd and oga9 was because they probably figured you were talking about racing a Type S, not the base 160hp RSX.[&:]

rsx started production in 02 but yeah good kill, get some mods and go for the type s. I used to own an 06 type S and I put lengths on my friends 03 v6 auto so itll take a little work but from a dig you have a good chance.
