Best ricer encounter yet
So tonight I go to hang out with some friends from out of town. As I pull up I see this modded rsx type s. The car is lowered, has a 80mm exhaust, and is rocking the honda red Hs instead of the acura emblem, so I knew he was going to be one of "those guys".
As soon as I get out of the car I hear him making remarks like "It's loud like that cause it slow" and "I bet that thing is held together with duct tape." Now my buddy that has seen the car in action is believing this kids line of BS about how fast his car is, and how my car couldn't catch him if we went from a dead stop. So after hanging out for about 20 minutes and listening to all the cars this kid "destroys" on a daily basis I ask if he wants to race the gt. After side stepping the question for another 10 minutes, and saying that his car has a full exhaust witha race header and an intake,his buddies talk him into racing. We go to a spot in their town that is the spot to race and we line up. We go when he says and I get a pretty decent launch leaving him about 2 lengths back. Since he didn't leave at a high enough rpm, his car took forever to get going in 1st and I put at least another1.5 lengths on him in first alone. As he hit his Vtec() he finally made up some ground but he was still at least 3-4 lengths back by the time I let off at about 100. After that one he claimed he couldn't get any traction in 1st and he wanted to go from a roll. We go from about a 25-30 punch with the same result, me shooting out 1.5 car lengths ahead and him staying there until about 100. The worst part is I think my buddy was justpressuring the kid into racing so he can shut his *** up.[8D] Just felt like sharing my random ricer encounter of the night.
