Whats that smell?.....
Oh thats your stock clutch.[:@]
Idecided to practice heating my tires. So I pop the clutch, roll a few inches, hit the brake and gas to keep the rears spinning. It goes good a couple of times. Then the smoke just wont go away???? And the smell is worse that burnt brakes. All of a sudden, my car wont shift.... Im stuck in second... I finally get it out of gear but it wont go back.I got it to a parking lot and left her overnight.Only to arrive this morning to a cop running my plates to see if it was stolen. Urgh!
Anyhow, I just found the easiest waytoupgrade, break something.Good riddance stock clutch, hello SPEC Stage3.

Yea, that'll do it to a stock clutch. Those are street radials; not slicks. A burn-out like that isn't necessary unless you're running all-out slicks. A quick peel-out to clean any debris off the tire is enough.
yes the nitto 555r's are drag radials and you do have to heat them up more than other radials to get them to hook. the nitto's are more of a street drag radial cause you can get about 12k miles out of them but you really gotta heat em up to get em to stick. the m/t's dr's you have to heat up far more less but you'll be lucky to get 7500 outta them.
I think Im going to have the same problem with my 555rs at the track. Any tips besides buying a line lock? Ive never really done any burnouts because I dont want to beat on my car unless I need to. All I know to do is rev 4.5k, dump(well fast slip...), hold it steady without redlining it in first. Is that it basically?
