Default another one down the drain....

..... another GT ... and it happened to be mines

Raced a wrx, with a big ricer muffler at the back, we rolled off the light in first, and I realized we were going to race when I got in second ... and he gently rolled away while I had my car to the bottom through third gear.... until we reached a curve and we both backed off.
He stayed about 1/2- 1 car length in front, but as he got to that point he did it very easily ...

If it was just a WRX I'd assume he had some decent mods. I took one out from about 30-90 mph a few weeks ago but all I can say for sure is it had some exhaust work because it was louder than just a catback.

I hope it was an STI, or a heavily modded WRX.

When i was stock i put about a buslength on a stock WRX, maybe a lil more.

well it's a little messed up here. a STi would of smoked him more than that. A WRX would of been behind him. So I'm thinking it was a modded WRX

Fast forward eight months... I've been off the board for a while for various personal reasons, but one is that I just got into a slump with my GT... disappointing...slow... but I do enjoy it, no question... as long as I am not racing , lol

I've raced a few cars which I knew would spank me, s/c C5, turbo P car on the hwy.. those are acceptable... but I raced another wrx - sti...

The WRX-STI - We raced 2-3 times off a roll, and he did just that rolled away from me, lol... (just like you see on Youtube with them rolling away from Mustangs...). I wasn't spraying (I'm going to have to get one of those electric switches for inside for my N20). Would the 100 shot have made a difference? I am not even sure if dropping in a used / new S/c would make a difference... Thoughts?

I've entertained trading in for a 03/04 termi, C4 or C5 Vette (actually got to the point of going to buy a nice 96 C4, but trade in on mines was too low ($8K, fyi), SRT 10 Ram (Viper 500 hp engine).. plus some other more crazy ideas... but due to the economy I'm sticking with this one for a couple more years...

Hell yea an extra 100HP would make a difference. When your street racing you never know what your up against. That STi could have had a turbo the size of your head swapped in the stockers place.

I felt the same way with my old GT (01), though it was almost full bolt-on with 4:10's. Even though my SS is faster it still feels slow most of the time. You just get used to the car. Thow a SC on it and I'm sure you will be happy with it for a while.

Also, yes, if he only beat you by ~1 car you would deff beat him my many cars with a 100 shot.
