I upgraded HCI on a buddiesLT1, more difficult with the engine inside, but the power was amazing past 4000 rpm.

The 350 is a great engine and the parts are cheaper.

I would of been very nervous coming into this race as well ! You faced off with a blowed engine.

You never know with them.

Doesn't say much about a Cobra... with so many on here worshiping those 4v's
It got beat by a lighter, closely powered, better launching vehicle.

How does it say anything (positive, or negative) about the Cobra?

Definitely a nice kill, sounds like your car is setup right. Do you have any track times?
1/8: 7.21
MPH: 97.01
1/4: 11.23
MPH: 125.26
60': 1.70
Run was made onNitto 555r 305/35-18" drag radials rear, Weld 15X3 Prostar Skinnies, MT Front Runner tires front.

Very nice runs OP, clean looking ride too. Does your friend have any suspension mods to compensate for all the HP/TQ? He shouldn't be dissapointed at all losing to a car like yours, IMO.
He has Four-Point K-Member Brace and Subframe connectors from Stage 3, Steeda Sport springs and Tokico shocks/struts.

I told him the same thing. His car is bad *** and has amazing torque down low.

Let me ask - are you Manual or auto?
Stage 3 700R4 Auto.

Do the LT1s and LS1s need to do much for suspension to put down that power properly?
Yes, suspension enhancements are very important to putting the power toground, especiallyconsidering my caris hitting 455 ft-lbs of torque by 2650-rpm. I have BMRFabrication components, Eibach drag-launch springs& bag, Koni shocks, and of course the drag radials.

Man, I wish my LT1 was that clean. That and Polo Green Metallic are two of my favorite LT1 colors. I almost bought a '93 that was the same color as yours, but the clearcoat was peeling and the car wasn't in very good shape. Plus, I can't live without t-tops. lol

Thanks. I love the Polo Green as well. I came really close to buying a Polo Green 1994 Corvette but the owner wouldn't go down on the price. Those darn C4 owners are loyal I tell ya!

Because every one knows 4vs suck and 2vs are so much better.

OP, good kill, and really clean looking Camaro, if I had to have a 4th gen it would be that one.

well the LT1 is done the "right way" that's for sure...

Alex

The Cobra has pushing over 500rwhp/torque as is the LT1... The Cobra got beat.. flat out... Yes, even Cobra's can be beat...

I would however, like to see the dig race... however if he's able to get that stall and gets a good launch you still might win - but i think it'd be close... pretty close imo.

Going into the race I actually thought it would be the other way around. I figured i'd win from a dig, buthe would get me on the roll races. Turned out that wasn't the case.
