Default Slaughtered a Fox

I kept seeing this red Fox notch running around town tonight with Cobra R rims and some cool aftermarket hood on it, and he was doing some spirited driving. I gave him a rev one time going the other way and he immediately turned around and gave chase. We headed out to a spot to run, but a cop ended up right behind us. So, he followed me around for another 5 minutes or so, and I said screw it and took it to the highway. I turned on into the far lane and left it in 1st, and he tried a flyby. I hammered it and immediately stopped his flyby, but missed 2nd somehow. It felt like it went into to gear but just hit redline and free revved when I hit the gas. So, we kept on going. I got next to him at 55, in third gear and he wouldn't do anything. So, I tried 3 honks and apparently he has no idea of what it means. So, I took off and he didn't do anything. I stayed in 3rd and he got back next to me and hit the gas. As soon as I hit the gas, I stopped his pull immediately and put 2-3 cars on him before shifting into 4th. I let off and was cruising in 6th, when he started to come back up. I downshifted to 5th, then to 4th, and gave it a little gas to let him know I was game for another run. As soon as I do that, he drops a gear or two and just takes off. So, I dropped it into 3rd at around 55 again. He had about a car lead since he went and I had to downshift still. But, I pulled even at the top of 3rd and walked him hard in 4th. I shut down at around 90 with probably 3-4 lengths on him. He slammed on his brakes and whipped a U-turn as soon as he could and ran back to town. lol

Short story:
1. 30 roll in first. He hit it to flyby, I stopped his pull immediately and missed 2nd.
2. 55 roll in 3rd. Went on his movement. Had 2-3 cars on him by top of 3rd and let off.
3. 55 roll in 3rd. He jumped when I was in 4th. Put 3-4 cars on him by mid-high 4th.

it is if he started in third and then let off in 4th lol

It should trap a decent amount higher, but my launches were absolute crap. The 2.5 and 2.6 60' times (without wheel spin) explain it all. lol

I also wasn't quite in a sweet spot for 3rd gear either. I could've dropped it to 2nd. But, I hate dropping into 2nd at a higher speed like that. I still probably would've had to shift so quick that I might as well leave it in 3rd. Redline in 2nd is 67mph.

Wheelspin/60 ft times will not affect your trap speed. I have a stack of timeslips here that show that. On any given day, my 60 ft can fluctuate between 2.0-2.4 but the trap doesn't move more than a half of a mph. It just means the difference between a 13.5 @ 104 or a 13.9 @ 104.

But bogging and lack of wheelspin will. A Gtech Pro isn't really all that far off on times and trap speed. And even with my old exhaust and street tires, I was running consistant 14.1-14.2's @ 104-105 with anywhere from a 2.4-2.7 60' time.

That is true, but a 2.6 time? Besides, I would think an LT1 with full exhaust, 3.73s, and whatever the LT4KM is would trap higher than 99 mph.
