I like where the shifter is in the Viper, right next to the drivers right hand on the wheel.

 

Bouncing the limiter does seem like a better idea than upshifting, accelerating for .4 seconds, then punching the brakes to prepare for a turn (or three).

 

+1^ Shifting would just slow him down more.

I htink the GTR spec-V and the Diesel twin turbo R8 should be pretty damn close if not maybe best that time.
