dont you guys love when cars that cost more than ours get smoked bc our motors are just that much stronger. i was going back downtown nashville the other night at 1am. pass a honda s2000 just cruising at 80mph. once i pass him i knew he was going to try and catch up, which he did. let him go the first run then ran him down and blew past him waving. did it again from nose to nose and it wasnt even a race. proceeded down the interstate and within a half mile come across a 2008 gt/cs. wouldnt let me get side by side the first run but i knew he had something more than i did. couldnt catch up to him. then slowed down and was talkin went from 40mph to 120mph and got smoked. catch back up and find out he is runnng 4.30 gears, cobra throttle body, underdrive pulleys, and same intake i had.
think it is about time to get the udp's, and new gears. thought my 3.55 were at least decent. not at all.
but ya'll know all in good fun. the reason i bought the gt was to go fast. and that it does. with a smile from ear to ear.

Ofcourse this works both ways. There was a 2002 LS1 camaro SS 25th anniversary edition with 18K miles for sale on craigslist in my state a couple weeks ago. They only wanted $14K for it. Guess which one would win if I raced it? Guess which one cost more money?

theres always a cheaper, faster car.

the word "LS1" comes to mind............although some would argue that the extra few tenths isn't worth the body it comes in. i'm not one of those people.

i bought my car because its VERY competitively fast, looks amazing, and its fun to drive.

People dont' always buy more expensive cars just because of the motor. There is a whole lot of other factors people see in choosing a car. Just cause a car is more expensive and your is faster is irrelevent and usually means you couldn't afford the more expensive car........Sometimes anyway.

racing is always fun. just need to get to the track more often and quit with the late night speed runs on the interstate. got to many points last yr can't get but 4 points this yr or goodbye license. need to be a lil more responsible. will say this again though. i bought this car, traded in the 06 v6, for the extra speed and horsepower. and the huge smile it brings to my face evertytime i start her up and take off.

It depends, how much did your car sticker for in 2006? The SS 35th Anniversary Edition was kinda expensive for an F-body, probably topping $30k in 2002 (the Z28 started at about $22k IIRC). I know you can get a new 3-valve GT for a lot less than that.
