S197 vs. Integra
Yeah most people think they run 16s, confuse them with the 4 cylinder models. I have had it for 6 years, beat the crap out of it and has been extremely reliable I have 177k miles now. They handle good, and the engine with 200 hp goes for 400 bucks (lol) and tranny for 150 (haha), for less than 1k you can make it run mid 14s with a few mods. They only weigh 2800 pounds, very light and nimble. Responds really good to boost, but its ****in FWD bull****. lol. Imagine putting a 03 cobra engine in that?? LOL
FWD is a challenge, no doubt. They can still be fun though, and even pull some wicked 60's. 2800lbs is light. Thats about what my SI weighs. Power to weight ratio FTW!
Is there much of an aftermarket for Probes?

There is some, but not too much. There is a turbo kit on ebay that goes for 1k, many people put that one and boost 5 psi (on the 10 compression motor, 200hp) making 290whp. It makes for a really fun project car, its unique, has nice sleek look, and big time sleeper. I have smoked so many ricers with it. lol And I gotta say the v6 sounds awesome, and the exaust not ricey at all, sounds smooth. Engine is really realible and strong, has a forged crank stock.
1st gen probes are the ones to get, stock 2.2 turbo. I used to have one and for a around a 1000 dollars you are driving around in a low 14 high 13 second car. Not bad for a car you can pick up for under 1000 dollars

hehe.
