In the same way that I'm not going to challenge a fully stripped, drag car, because they are intended for different venues. I'm positive that I would loose, therefore it would be a waste of gas to find out.

It IS clearly a waste of gas to find out where the 2000 Cobra R stands in terms of a drag racing when it wasn't intended for such a thing

and TurboIntegra, I can tell you my lap times at willow springs or a couple other road courses, but not a drag strip yet
That's cool and all, but lots of cars that aren't built for the strip still drag race. People who drive S2ks, EVOs, 350Zs, The cobra Rs, Viper ACR (from what I've been told is a track car) GT-R, Integras, ect. Lots of people build things that aren't meant for what they are originally built for. Hence, my LS integra. My speed has been 100% built, not bought, as my car wasn't even the "sporty" integra. Even if it's stock, people will still participate in races that the car wasn't meant for.

1 more thing, I think it's kinda funny you can tell me your times at a track considering your sig.
It's cool though.

Ok that makes sense...

Okay, please, if you are going to be a dick to me, at least do it in 21st century english.

You obviously have no concept of there being a world out side of DRAG racing. I race a ton, it just doesn't happen to be on a drag strip. I didn't build my car to race on a drag strip, so why would I be concerned about how it would perform there?

that was my original point. The Cobra R isn't intended to be a drag car, so why would someone who spent 60 thousand dollars on a car that was designed for the open circuit be concerned with how it fairs in a straight line?

did you mean I can't tell you track times? I can tell you track times, just not drag strip times.

But anyway, I already know my car isn't going to perform as well on a drag strip as it will on a road course, it has very little weight transfer, and the suspension is set up so that the front end hunkers down.

I meant a track with corners. I thought earlier that you built your car for drag use. I read your sig and noticed that it said "real tracks don't have corners" and thought that was your sig, not a quote from someone else. That's why I thought it was funny that you could tell me times from a "track with corners"

oh no, that's what 35thannivers99GT said to me in a thread a couple weeks ago when I stuck up for him racing his truck. My timeline might be screwed up, I've been working alot lately, so I'm not sure how long ago it was, and I figured the use of a built IRS swapped into a GT made it clear that I wasn't into drag strips

Well, I don't really know a whole lot of the ins and outs of mustangs and such, and what exactly solid axles do vs IRS, I did know that IRS helps at the track but not for drag. I didn't really think much about it though in your post. It's not really an issue with FWD cars so it's not something that clicks with me.

ah, well a solid rear axle is good for drag racing, and an IRS is better for road racing, because it keeps both tires planted going around a corner. Alot of 03 cobra' owners who are into drag racing swap out their IRS'

Cobra R will not have A/C button inside or stereo.
