I am not a big fan of the what if posts, so i'll try to keep this one short and just feel around.
I have a 99GT with a o/r h, catback, and 4.10s, and my cousin has a buddy with a 97 z28 with just straight pipes (im manual, him auto)
what year did the ls1 make its way into the camaro's, because im sure that essentially, that is the only thing i need to know who would win right?
i would only race from a dig, (on the side, my cousin says he says my car pulls alot harder from the line, which ive heard from other peopel comparing stock ones, let alone mine with 4.10s)
thanks, any info would be helpful

i am gonna say if u both get a equal launch, u might edge him out to 50. yet no more then a car by then, then a stalemate from there. or after 50 him slowly reeling u in. but i think u should get him.
and 97 is an LT1 for sure

well, hearing that it is an LT makes me feel much better.. ive heard that 99-04's are a drivers race with a LT, but add in my 4.10's and the fact that his is an auto, and maybe i should be alright
now, i dont really know if i want to actaully race though, too many factors,, as far as doing it on roads and having NO track less than two hours away..

BTW, I had 5 people in my car at the time, all of em but me wieghed about 150 pounds.
my buddy has a trans am with an lt1 only an intake and a chip, hes an auto. my 94 cobra 5spd will win everytime from 0-whatever, but on the highway he can put his door to my front fender going from 70-120 or so. ill pull on him a foot, then hit 4th, he will even it up. and then will pull, but almost not at all.
