Well, the kid is pretty much an idiot and can't drive to save his life. He was also saying he had a bad coil pack on the #5 cylinder the night before. But, I think he fixed it yesterday before we raced. I'm positive that it was a 4.6 though.

Come on, I'm pretty sure he did not measure our the length of two buses, and then convert them to car lengths.

He was just making the point that the race started off relatively close, and that he pulled away as the speeds increased, and by the end of 4th, he was murdering the guy in the other car.

Had the Roush driver been a great driver, the car is capable of a mid 13 with traction. On the street, and w/o the great driver, this race is MORE than believable.

Who said he was lying? I believe it went down the way it did. The guy in the Roush can't drive to save his life is all...

Supposedly, the guy who he got it from ran a 13.3 in it. But, the kid will tell me about anything. He also has a '97 Formula with headers, no cats, hooker catback, 4.10's, and ram air that he said is making 375rwhp without FI, nitrous, and on stock H/C/I. The guy who had it before him ran a 12.9, on slicks, which I'd believe on slicks. But, the kid put 20's on the car and absolutely ruined it. After I raped it from a 20 roll, he tried telling me I was better than 12.9. This was all without my new exhaust setup and the tune. I laughed at him and told him no way my car was capable of 12's at the time. Oh yeah, and he also says the Formula is twin turboed now, but no one's seen it since he got it done.

Damn...
Wuts with all the hostility towards the 6er...
:-(
The New Edge V6 really isn't a bad car...
I don't know why u'd pay extra for a Roush v6 seein as u could prolly buy the GT for the same price...
Only reason I have a 6er is cause I couldn't afford 8 cylinders...
Buyin the Roush 6er would be completely pointless IMO...
But I've seen dumber sh*t...
lol

+1 on the part about buyin a Roush 6er! I said the exact same thing about buyin a V6 Roush. The only logical explanation to buying a V6 Roush is to save money or cause you don't have the money. If you have the money to get the V8 Stage 1....why not just bump it up to a Stage 2 like mine? =)

Many 94-98 GT's cost as much, or less than a 99-04 3.8

Not much differnece in MPG, either.

^^^With just a few mods though, the 99-04 6er can be just as fast as a 94-98 GT. I hate to say it, but it's true. I'd much rather have the SN95 GT though.

Was the Stage 2 different on your year? The S197 Stage 2 is a Stage 1 plus handling and brakes. It's not until the Stage 3 that you get the Roushcharger and even then it only only bumped it up to 385 ponies as opposed to the much higher numbers that other blower brands produce.

The 3.8's don't really respond well to bolt-on's. Can it beat a 5.0/NPI 4.6? Sure, those cars aren't very fast, but its going to take quite a bit of $$$ on the sixxer's part. The 4.0's are a different story though...
