Default This seems impossible..

My friend has a 2001 V6 Auto mustang with mac dual exhaust, a bassani x-pipe modified to fit his 6, 4.10 gears, and a true posi unit. I've been in his car several times, and he pulls super hard on any car we ever mess with. On the way back from Cruisin' OC this weekend, we were driving next to each other, and we see an Evo (or evo looking car) ahead. My friend pulls up beside him real fast, does the three honks, and destroyed the other car. The other car might've been just a lancer with an Evo wing though, I didn't hear a turbo or anything.

Anyway.

He says his friend who owns this transmission place around here has a quarter mile all set up on his road, and he ran his mustang on it. somehow, the clock read 13.6. I don't see how this is possible with just his mods. He's also destroyed a 327 Chevelle with a 3 speed ratched shifter, and a 68 camaro SS.

He's not blown or anything, and he doesn't have nitrous. Can you people maybe explain this? It's really bothering me.

Summary for the ADD afflicted:
-Friend's V6 auto with 4.10 posi and exhaust beats fast cars, ran 13.6. HOW!?!?

With an auto he isn't even in the 14s with just a exaust and 4.10s. No way possible he can run a 13.5 at a real strip.

what did they time it with? A stopwatch? I would put no faith in that time at all, go to a real track and get a time on the car.

haha

Time to head to the track!

and no the track isn't some chalk in the middle of a residential road with your friend holding a timer.

even if they did that, it isn't going to shave a second or two off. at most, .3, if that.
