Going out for a little spin in the GT and came upon two very riced out cars. One a Cobalt LS (yeah I know it's not a SS) and a Scion TC. Both cars had huge tail pipes and about three hundred guages in there car. So we come upon a red light. Just my luck three lanes and I'm in the middle. Both guys start to rev there engine and inching back and forth. It was really light traffic so I said oh what the hell. Light turns green they take off and here I am spinning (need to learn how to launch) but when the stang caught grip at about 70 I had a good two to three car lead on those guys could have had more if I was spinning so much. With RPM's do you guys launch? With my mods what should I launch at?

 

Haha, those cars weren't worth the trouble.With all your mods it seems like you had to spin a decent amount to only have 2 cars by 70 from a dig.

 

It felt like about three mins, lol. I raced a SRT-8 last week I lanuched a little better. He pulled hard out of the whole but I caught him. I don't know what the he** happened this time. Maybe just excited. Not everyday you race two cars and you're the man in the middle.

 

you must have some crappy tires and not know how to drive, because even when I'm running on street tires I can manage not to spin.

 

i bet and threw it in reverse and then punched it and tahts why he was spinning so much lolz :P

Oh, to the OP, unless your running DR's or a very soft compound tire, DONT launch on the street. Launching for at the strip only, and even then you shouldn't be launching on a hard compound tire. Learn to feather the clutch, don't just dump it
