Finally timeslips
Hey guys, I know a bunch of you don't hang out in the 4.6 section, so I figured I'd post this here as well. I went to the quartermile for a cure event today with SAMC, and I only got one run in by the time I had to leave, which was pretty pathetic, but I think my run turned out well even though it was a horrible 5400' DA, that and the fact that they told me I couldn't run anymore because I didn't have a fire jacket.
but anyway, enough small talk, here are the times, leaving off of idle, on 275/40/17 BFG T/A KD's

well, originally I was going to support quartermile for a cure, mainly because Im a cancer survivor, so it meant alot for me. Lately I've been running 8PSI, and I didn't know how many runs I was going to get in, but I brought the laptop, smaller pulley, and bigger injectors with me, but being that I was only runnin 8PSI, I was only running the street tires, I really expected to be running the 8PSI tune the entire time
We got to the strip when the gates opened, went through tech, and I was ready to start staging. It was very histarical, because when I went through tech, he looked at the car, and the fact that I was only running boost and fuel pressure gauges, street tires, and was like "oh, I see you have a helmet", marked me off, and marked me off for a fire jacket, but told me if I ran faster than 11.5, they wouldn't let me run again because of the jacket.
So, we were waiting, and they announced that we weren't going to be able to stage until 10AM, so I decided to swap pulleys and tunes and run at my normal level.
Did a short, very, very, short burnout, lined up, and almost pedaled the car. I know I didn't see full boost in 1st, so there was definitely more in the car, just a matter of how much.
The guy I was racing against was running a stockish NA GT, and was kind of cockey when he heard that I hadn't been to a drag strip before, so I think he thought he was going to beat me just because I was going to spin, but It turns out I shut him up pretty quick

apparently he couldn't figure out how to take a video, so all I have is a couple pictures of the other cars, there was a car show there as well.
The tech inspector actually came by, erased the number off of my car, and took the sticker off that said I passed tech, in a very dramatic huff.
what a turd!
well to be fair, NHRA rules say I should have been wearing a fire jacket anyway, so it wasn't his fault.
and my dad, I don't know where I'd be without him, and to be fair again, the camera sucks, and I just checked and even I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT how to record a video.
anyway, here are the couple pictures I do have
