Yeah, during a thread about Obama and his "share the wealth" philosophy someone commented that he needs to share some inches of wheelstands with the other members. He said that he'd be ok with that, he would just go faster. Notice how the 8 second Corvette next to him doesn't leave the ground. And see how this

results in this.

here's one of my friends, he did this back in 2005 when he was still running the LS1 on nitrous (150 shot right off the line )

he's now running a 408ci sbc with twin 67's

here's his "easy" run on the new setup

and his engine setup

The Vette in the other lane is getting it done on the ground with a 8.9 @ 150.

That has to be really scary. Keeping your foot in it while not being able to see where you are going. Yikes. Looks like he needs to invest in a wheelie bar. As cool as that is, it must kill the run.

1990CamaroRS, was that first vid of the wheel-stand the reason for the new setup, haha. Looks like something broke bad when he came back to this planet.

My buddy has bars welded underneath the car called SYA (Save Your ***) bars, from Madman Racing. They keep his oil pan and headers from becoming scrap metal.

He needs all the extra weight up front he can get to keep his nose down apparently, lol.

He removed as much weight from the front as possible in order to get the fronts off the ground. No AC, power steering, bumper support, washer fluid resevoir, or ABS. He has a lightweight engine cradle, lightweight hood and a trunk-mounted battery. He's even been trying to lose weight himself. He needs wheelie bars for aerodynamic purposes if for no other reason.

I was just being sarcastic. Did he do all the chassis/suspension work himself or did he have a shop set him up?

I'm sure he did all or most of the basic bolt-on stuff himself, but he's had a lot of work done at various local shops. He doesn't work in an automotive-related field and his garage looks pretty normal.

ya, that was the LS1 that blew. he came down so hard he stopped the crank and send the #1 piston into the head, like literally in the head. when he pulled the engine apart, the piston came out attached to the cylinder head
