Made a couple passes last night and then went back to the staging lanes to line up with, no other than, an '04 pulley/exhaust/tune Terminator. Oh, how I loved it so. Couldn't wait to see what it ran. Talked to the guy driving it, he was about my age, nice kid. Said he made 496rwhp. Beautiful car.

Anyway, he got about a .5 second head start (I pre-staged before I had all my nitrous **** situated), but I ran him down.

That was his best pass of the night, that we saw. It's on video, just have to get home and upload it. Track wasn't hooking that well, I kept wheel hopping....which isn't good for a 10 bolt. It was also hot and humid as hell. I haven't figured up the DA, but I'm sure it was in excess of 2000.

Oh ya, something is fuxxored with the '05 GT's....I ran one on one pass, pretty blue one. He went 8.94 @ 77.507 with a 1.853 short time....that trap speed is absolutely horrible! He killed me off the light, and had a better short time than me....but I blew past him around mid track. I bet they run like s hi t from a roll.

Yea....haha, look at his short time. I trapped 92mph the other night on a 1.8x short time.

 

Just a sign of a poor driver.

 

His trap? I thought he did pretty well for 315 street tires. Fastest I've seen a pullied Cobra go is 7.64.....that's with a little lightening and some suspension.

 

nice run 98, i think he should be faster w/ almost 500 rwhp. usually a pullied cobra w/ air intake, and catback only dyno bout 460-480. could be some driver error there, nonetheless, good kills!

 

His 60' was terrible. Even with that **** IRS he still shoulda done better than that.

I would be interested to see the race thru the full 1/4 mile.

yeah that cobra runned pretty good but there was a honda there that would hurt most pep's feeling's on here i think it runned 7.60's and trapped 103-105 ish

 

One of the other runs he made, he went 8.4x..... I only launched at 2000rpms that run, just to make sure I didn't blow the tires off.

I think the GT was auto. I also think he had BFG's on the back, they were definately not street tires.

He ran about what I was expecting for street tires. Had he had some good DR's on, it'd been fun. What was your short time and 1/8 on your 11.99 pass?

Thanks man. I only quoted b/c you said dot dot dot and a few more dots. Car should go some 11.70-11.90's the way it sits, according to LS1tech's database. I've never ran it in less than 75 degree weather yet though, maybe it has some more in it. After next Saturday it should go some 11.0000000000's...or better if nothing breaks. I know your car runs strong, but what do you run?

That Honda was crazy! So was that stock gear, stock torque converter, stock rearend Z28 there....only had headers/tune/125 wet shot. Went 7.5x @ 95 mph on street tires! Pissed me off...
