hell... i raced a ricer the other day.. it was a civic. 
not to bash u civic owners on here... he was a true ricer... had all the ricer apparel! had the apc window sticker, HID headlights, big *** 18's, dropped to the ground, full ricerish body kit, and the big gauge pod with a a/f gauge... well, i know why he had that gauge.. he was nitrous. [:@] but i still beat him by about 2 car lengths.

If that srt4 was stock you shoulda been able to beat him. I raced one the other day and beat him in the 1/8 mile and then he pulled on my late in third gear right into fourth. Surprised you didnt take him. The one i raced was runnin 19lbs of boost to. I guess stock for stock there quicker.

I highly doubt he had an upgraded turbo... or much of anything for that matter.
From a 70 roll to 110 a half car seems about right.. in a stock vs. stock race.

Haha, from a dig the GT's are faster in the 1/8th but they will pull by you in the 1/4 given equal drivers.
From a roll they definatly have the advantage.

That would be me. I will readily admit I am a jerk most of the time. What is different is what I drive backs up what I say. I take it out and prove what it will do and get a quantifiable measurement for it. ie 10's-11's 1/4. I dont talk much about my daily driver since its only mid 13's, its an economy car. Being a ricer isnt about making a car fast no matter what it is. Its more about thinking that body kit, fart can, and 18"+ wheels will actually make it faster, and then telling everyone how fast it is when it will barely pull a 15 down hill with a tail wind. I have seen some around here that would run the 1/4 faster on the trailer behind my truck
You can rice anything, and you can fake anything. 02 V6 Stang with Cobra wheels, wing, hood and emblems. 02 V6 Firebird with a WS6 hood 17" wheels and two wings. Both owners try to play it off as being V8's when they arent. Its just sad to me.. and fun to bust on them about it.. cuz I am a jerk..

Thats funny. The whole ricer thing came by because they are made in Japan. Japanese people eat rice. Everything just grew from there. So a car with a exhaust that is made in Japan will be a ricer to some people but not to others. All depends on how you look at it.

i know no one is gonna wanna hear this, but i raced an srt-4 last night and got my *** waxed haha.. i was driving on beltway 8 (houston) and all of a sudden i see 4 hid lights in my mirror and it kinda looked like an srt-4. so i dropped down to third and floored it and started weaving and he followed. then he pulled up next to me when we were goin about 90 then we started going when i got to 120 he was about 2 cars ahead.
round 2, we slowed down to about 70 and we raced. since i was able to start in 3rd this time i kept up a whole lot better when we got to 110 i was only half a car back.
this guy had some stuff done, several body mods.. of course. and it sounded like he had a much bigger turbo than stock, it was soo loud. after the second race we pulled up next to each other and thumbs uped each other and i exited westheimer to go to my friends place.
.... it was a nice car.
my only mod is flowmaster 40s

I'd say you did pretty well....I bet he had some exhaust work though.
