Default 2000 GT vs 2006 GTO

My friend just bought an '06 GTO with a catback exhaust and we had the chance at an open highway tonight and made one run, from a roll. We started from a 40mph roll and at three honks we went, I hooked, he didn't as much and I pulled about a car on him upto about 70mph when he started reeling me in and once I hit 4th gear he started to pass me and by 100mph he had about 3/4 car lengths on me when I shut down.

I'm happy that I was able to keep up as well as I did despite the loss.

Nice run bro, those GTO's can stroll.

Looks like you have a quick drop top.

Sorry for the delay (was sleeping), the Goat was manual. The reason it was so close was because he had trouble hooking because we both rolled in 2nd gear at 40mph. The less power you have, the easier it is to hook

Otherwise though, I'd assume it wouldn't have been as close. Regardless, I'm happy my car can perform as it does, although I really need an off the line driver mod - still having trouble getting clean launches.
