Default Help-suspension setup

Hello guys,
need help with a strip/street suspension, yes strip first, street second!!!!!!!!!!

car's suspension is all stock now-springs,control arms everything, including wheels and tire(17")

My best 60' is a 1.94 with stock tires and automatic with 2500 stall

I bought race lower control arms and lower control arm relocation brackets.
also bought the rear sway bar relocation kit for 15" wheels

my goal is to get my 60' down to 1.80 with DR's

I plan on some DR's not sure if I'am going 15" or 17" what do you think?
thought I would go 26" tall so I don't need to change my 3.31 gears

I want a 1 pc driveshaft, a upper control arm.

what else do I need? springs, shocks, struts?

Well I hate to break it to you but if you are going for strip first, you really wasted some money there. First off, forget relocating anything in the rear end. Lose the sway bar all together for a BMR extreme anti roll bar and keep your LCA's where they are supposed to be and fit a 15x10 or 15x11 wheel no problem.

After that, switch to QA1 shocks and get some better springs, panhard bar, strengthen up your rear and put some coilovers up front. Get the BMR front swaybar delete/rad support kit and if you've got the cash, then a tubular K member with Tubular a-arms will help a bit too.

Get a 'REAL' converter for your trans with the right stall and be prepared to ditch the 5r55 if you plan on making big power.

Now just make HP and you'll hook it!

Bill,

Do something to get .1hp, the whole "299.9hp" is KILLING ME!!! hehe.

Our auto's suck without a high stall, best bet I would think is to have lca's, some 15's and nice dr's and hope you hook.

Hello, a good starting point is going to be your lca's both upper and lowers and also a set of relocation brackets. Even if the car isn't lowered you can benefit from the relocation brackets by changing the instant center of your suspension. Going with aftermarket control arms will benefit you by replacing the factory soft rubber bushings with a higher durometer urethane. Of coarse shocks will help anything is better than the factory ones, but if you going for a good handling shock with good street and drag potential the Tokico D soecs are a great choice. They are adjustable and are a good all around shock. If the car see's more drag strip time than anything the QA1'S are the best choice. I will post you a link to our site. We make parts from the front to the rear. If you have any questions please give me a call.

generally good advice from BMR, they make quality stuff as well.

If you get the relocation brackets make sure they are welded in!

If you lower your car then you will need an adjustable panhard bar. It will correct you body alignment with the rearend. When you lower a car the body shifts off to one side, the adjustable panhard bar correct this. As some other have stated our extreme anti roll bar will give you the best 60'times. If you have any questions concerning any of our parts please give me a call.
