Default Damn......

Ok, now I'm starting to feel like a slug. This guy went 12.3 at 109......with nothing but slicks, gears, and a handfull of bolt-ons.

I keep seeing stuff like this and I might be convinced to start doing some drag specific mods for my car.

I think you should easily be hitting 12's, and prob even high 11's with a twin screwed sc

I got the trap speed for a low 12 second pass, but I currently lack the mods to pull off a good short time....ie: drag radials and a good aftermarket upper control arm. The car's set up mostly for handling at the moment.

He has 4.30s on that car, he should be pulling those times. Go for some slicks and control arms.

Drag mods will help, but they don't mean anything if you don't have the power.

I'll tell you what, even on the day when I ran, It was completely set up for making turns, without even a hint of drag performance in mind.

I'm talking an IRS for heavens sake, and one of the stiffest suspensions money can buy.

You have enough power to pull a low 12 second time, I'm positive you'll be able to do it.

Gots to stay positive.

It has 4.56's, slicks and probably exhaust, intake and tune equating his reported 308RWHP...

looks like Bogart wheels with slicks and skinnies too.

A good DR and some LCAs will improve your times, so will seat time @ the strip. I can tell you from real world experience. When I went over the weekend, I had 5 passes from 12.3 - 11.89 each generally faster than the last. This was the most consistent I've been at the track since I got the bug for the 1320! Now that I have made 50-60 passes, I'm doing things better.

Dont get discouraged, get out there and run!

Well, I'm not really being pessimistic, my car's only been down the strip a total of 4 times. So I don't have hardly any experience built up with her at the track yet. I went out there last March......ripped off a 13.6, then a 13.3, then a 12.9, and then got a little too brave and got the car almost sideways on my 4th run. That's when I decided not to go back until I had some proper radials. I trapped 111 on all 3 of my "successful" runs. But the car was having traction issues all the way up to the 1/8 mile marker, so I'm sure some sticky tires would help matters greatly.
