Default Trap speed for mid 13 second cars

Last night I ran a mid 13 (13.48) at almost 106mph. I see some posts on here of people running mid 13's at 101 or 102mph. What does the higher trap speed mean? Is that a result of poor traction on my part?

Yup, most likely it was a bad 60' time. 106 mph is good for bottom 13s, high 12s. What was your 60' time?

That's really not bad for street tires. You aren't going to get that much of a better launch unless you get DRs.

I have ran 13.5s @ 102-104 mph.

Yes, trap speed is more an indicator of the kind of power you're putting down. ET will be more reflective of how well your car can hook up on launch given the power that you're making.

i trapped 101.6 with a 14.62 1/4 and 2.68 60 foot lol

trapped 79.2 with a 9.78 1/8th and 2.75 60 foot

stock 03 gt

my differential is broken, only 1 wheel burns out. i hope to lower my 60 foots to around the 2.0-2.2 range and take .5-.7 secs off my times when i get it fixed. my tires are also treadware 420 though lol

I just leave it in drive. When it shifts into 2nd I loss traction and it kicks to the right a little
