Thumbs up A few good runs tonight

First I forgot my camera when I left the house earlier today so none of the runs were filmed

The first set of runs was my friends integra type R (intake, header, exhaust, tune, 181whp) vs 97 gt vert 5sp (bbk cai, bbk o/r x-pipe, catback) First run was a 30 roll (gt's request) they took off type r pull a fender then hit 2nd and pulled hard and by half way through the type r's 3rd the gt missed 3rd and we already had 3 1/2 cars on him.
The 2nd run the gt wanted a dig. The type r dumped it at 6500 and spun just a little then went leaving the gt as it spun then bogged and the type r pulled hard and by 100 we had 5 cars on the gt.

Next run was the same type r integra vs a gutted gsr swapped integra (intake, catback) 20 roll the gsr teg jump out a car in first (type r's vtec doesn't come in till 6000rpm/to the gsr's 4500rpm) then when the type r hit 2nd we pulled even with the gsr teg, 3rd we put a car on the gsr, top end of 4th at 125 we had 2 cars on the gsr teg.

The last set of runs was the Stock GMC Syclone vs the Modded New Edge GT
(cai, ported tb, dioblo sports tuner, o/r x-pipe, weld in flows, 4.10's)
1st run was a dig. I foot braked the hell out of the GMC and had it fully spooled we launched and the GT spun bad and I shot out 6 cars or so and the GT was pulling steadily, but not hard enough by the fuel cut at 116 I had about 2 1/2-3 cars on him
2nd run was a dig. The GT babied it out the whole and I jumped out about 5 cars off the start and then he was coming back up again; I ran up the the fuel cut again and this time I had about 2 cars on the GT this time.
3rd run By his request he wanted a 10 roll. I brake boosted as much as possible and was almost fully spooled 3rd honk we took off I jump out a car 1/2-2 cars and the GT did spin in first and just a little in 2nd gear. I was able to hold him off till about 75 or so and by the time he shut it down by 100 he had a car 1/2-2 cars on me witch I didn't think it was too bad considering the trucks lack of top end.

Over all it was a good night and some good damn run to start the year off

I definitely agree with you on this. The only way I could see the integra winning is in a roll from third gear since that gear is weak on mustangs. But even still I wouldn't see it happening. My buddy and I raced a type r on I4 one night, and we both smoked it. My buddy didn't even take his SS out of 6th. Ya he had a slow start but ended up raping it lol.

Awesome races 89lx. I've been dying to find out the outcome of the GT Vs Syclone. Sounds like it went down as expected. Those trucks are animals from a dig!

The 96-98 gt's are pretty much turds. It being a vert def doesnt help. I know all too well. I barely pulled a car, maybe 1 1/2, on a zc swapped civic with boltons (I believe). We both had passengers, his heavier. Granted, I had a 2.73 geared car, but this was from a 20-25 roll, decent spot for me.

So, I can fully believe this guy losing that bad. Keep in mind, this said gt is the same one losing to the 6er new edge a few threads ago......
