Default 08 GT vs. LS1 Vette + fu**** altima

So last night i was coming home with my gf and i was about to turn left to go home but i see this red convertible LS1 vette, so i said what the hell i'll go straight and see if he wants to race. Well i got on the side of him and threw a rev to see if he wanted to race, so did he but we needed to get ahead because of traffic. Then it happens, This piece of crap altima got on the side of the vette and would not let me pass!!! . The vette would slow down a little or accelerate and the freakin altima would follow! he basically followed us and for some ungodly reason did not want us to race. So, the vette backed up a lot and i got in front of him and we passed this looser. I got the initial take off as we lined up ( i was at 4k rpm going 50mph in 2nd gear (3.31) This is my sweet spot. We stayed pretty even with him getting a fender on me, but as soon as we hit 3rd he started slowly but surely walking away and put a car on me, shut down around 100 i guess.
Do they weigh around 3200 lbs vs. our 3500?

I had similar results when I raced an 04 vert vette. I had nearly 2 1/2- 3 cars out of the hole, and by the upper 70's mph he would be at my back end slowly walking me. I shut down at 70mph though, but regardless had the race gone to the quarter he would've won. We did best of 3 and the same results every single time. He tried both with tc on and with it off. It didn't matter, I just pulled him like he was standing still...and that was with balk Falken ziex 512's. It would've been sad for him with my new Nitto's now! HAAH!

Use my trick for that problem. Slow waaaaaay down...then when that person in the left doesn't think you want to get in front of them anymore, they will generally start dropping back so they no longer are playing "friends" with the car next to them. When you see about a 1 1/2 - 2 car length gap open, put the pedal to the floor, and get in front of him. Problem solved! This works 99% of the time for me.

With performance cars like ours, by the time he figures out what's going on, you'll have so much speed you'll be in front of him before his car will even have a chance to accelerate. Gotta love putting these self involved scumbags in their place!

People always say they have to stop aggressive drivers. Truth is the majority of people that are aggressive, are that way because some idiot decided to antagonize and play games with them. If people would follow the rules of the road, and get back in the right after passing someone, leaving the left lane open, there would be much less road rage.
Also, if you plan on passing, doing so by going 1 mph faster than the person you are trying to pass doesn't constitute as passing, it constitutes as driving next to someone. So if these people are scared to accelerate sufficiently to pass, than they should just stay in place.

Also I love when people will switch lanes at a light to be first in line only to take off slower than garbage trucks! I don't get this mentality!?! "Hey, I need to be first so I can go as slow as possible, and hold everyone else up! The world revolves around me!"

ARRRHHHHHHHHHGGGHH! I feel your pain bud! Try moving to Florida, the retirement capital of the world!

HAHAHA! That doesn't work here. Here they'll come right back at you, or hold their ground. Hell some chick tried that with me, and I held my ground. Actually it's a funny story.... But I'll open another thread for that later today.
