Default 95 svt vs 04 gt

hey guys, someone asked if I wanted to race them in an 04 gt. I haven't seen the car but he told me all hes done is saleen t/b and full msd ignition. I don't know much about the 4.6s but he said hes puttin out 400 rwhp and ran a low 13.2 I know he probably left some things out but still how hard is it to get to a low 13 in an 04 gt? also he said he has stock gearing.
My 95 svt is close to stock all I have is CAI and 3.73s.
do you think it will be a close race or will I lose my a$$? I don't really care if I win or lose its cool just to know someone else thats into mustangs.

I'm guessing hes leaving things out cuz he races and doesn't want to let everyone know what he has. I'm not into street racing to much I already got in trouble not racing so I'm not tryin to do anything else to jeprodize my license I'm only 17.
I'm guessing he left some things out but how much would he have to have to reach a 13.2 in the 1/4?
also since I'm stock pritty much other than the 3.73s I'm guessing with really good driving I should be around a high 13 to low 14 right?

+1 stone the guy is full of it as far as power and all that for the mods he told you.

Is it a stick or an auto?? I also think it would be rather hard to pull a 13.2 on stock gears. Not impossible by any means just hard. If the car is basically stock like I'm thinking it should be a drivers race with the edge to the 04. Do you think your a good driver and have you ever raced street or strip?

I think I'm a decent driver, I'm by no means great. I've raced a couple times on the street but nothing serious the races I've done have either been with a large edge to me or agenst. I've only lost once and it was to an old nova with a blown 572 so obviously I lost by a mile but I thought I might as well have fun the rest to most people probably weren't considered races. I have never been to the strip though.

both of our cars are sticks.

I knew your car was a stick. You having the gears and cai are to your advantage. There isn't too much power difference between the too like 20hp at the crank. This should be one hell of a race IMO. If you 2 do race do you think it would be from a dig or a roll?

If from a dig you should try to find some place quiet and out the way to practice on your launch. Very little to no wheel spin and don't bog.

I'm not sure but if we do I wanna race from a dig. I'm decent at launching but my tires are crap. for some reason the previous owner put one goodyear eagle f1 on one side and a nexon on the other... I have no idea why though. also I forgot to mention, my cars been lowered. I don't know how much but I know that hurts traction especially on these cars. How the car sits I've chirped 3rd not trying to which I know will end up hurting me in a race
