Two Kills for One Night...
Ok, let me start by saying I'm not one to provoke these matters, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.
The first guy was some young kid in a CRX. Pretty cleanly done, not riced at all. I'm in the left lane just minding myob. He's in the right, but gooing slower than me. I'm slowly catching up to and passing him, and not thinking anything of it. Right as I break even w/ him, he looks over at me, then gives his girlfriend a look. At this point, I'm expecting something, and sure enough he downshifts and hits it. I'm ready, and downshift as well (into 2nd at 35~) and hit it at the same time. My turn off was coming up and I needed to be in the right lane, anyways. I (as you may have expected) start an immediate pull, and pretty hard. Only took it up to about 80 for him to get the point, w/ him a solid buslength behind, then I get over and turn off. He passes and gives me a funny look in the process. Maybe he thought I was a Grand Prix coupe or something, haha. But I was wondering why he actually put up as much of a fight as he did, and I later found out he had a mildly modded B16 swap.
Round two happened later, it was dark out. I'm at a light, first car in the left lane. Light turns green, I take off kinda hard, just so I can get over in time to turn off. The car in the right lane, second in line, takes off, gets over, passes the guy in front of him, gets back over, and is closing in on me pretty quickly. Like I said, it's dark out so all I could see was the headlights and foglights. What at first glance seemed to be an Evo, turns out to be a Mazda 3 as he gets closer. I still can't see the whole car, so I'm guessing it's a Mazdaspeed 3 the way the driver is seemingly hunting me. It's a 40 zone, and I'm in 5th, so I downshift to 3rd just to be sure. Just as I do, the guy goes for it. Not wanting to waste anymore time, I leave it in 3rd, and hope it's a garden-variety 3, or at least a stock MS3. No worries. As soon as I get in it, his lights start fading, pretty damn quickly. I let out at maybe 70 cause it was such a slaughter. Not long afterwards, I'm getting out of my car to go into Wal Mart, and the car drives by. Some military guy in a stock to the rubber 3 sedan. Meh, you never know. I've seen a few Mazdaspeed 3's around, and I know they can be quick.
That's all for now. Nothing too exciting I know, but I'm hoping to set up a race w/ a friend's modded Trailblazer SS, and another one's modded Lightning. Thanx for reading.....

What part of "Nothing too exciting I know." don't you get, lol??? I don't have any pics right now, and it's dirty, and I'm not washing it in -25 degree weather, so that'll have to wait. I'll get around to it soon though. I've got a few more mods planned for it as well, including lowering springs, so I might wait to get those installed.
Ol' Blue is a tough critic, but thats why we like him. Helps keep things in line around here.
Scg, you had those two covered pretty handily. An MS3 would make for a much better run. Those things are seriously stout rides. They respond very well to basic bolt ons too. The torque steer is ridiculous though.
Good runs.

Meh, I thought about coilovers, and price isn't really a hinderance, it's just I'm not too worried about ride quality. I'm mostly concerned w/ looks, I won't lie. Besides, I'm not aiming to turn it into a canyon carver or anything. Just a nice fast DD. I'm wanting to buy a set G8 GT 19's for it eventually. There's just too many others that look like mine.
