wow... nuthin really special about this race. just my stock 96 gt versus my friends NA 3000 gt. I had no power so i decided to go down and ask this kid if he wantyed to race cuz we have been debating it for a while. So there is a good at least half mile strip road above my house... we took our cars down there and lined up... It was just me and him so we dint know how to start so i did 3..2..1.. go, and i got a jump and destroyed him. He dinty liek the start so we lined up again and he did the countdown....but he went 3..2.1.....and took off while i was still waiting for the go....he got about a car length on me and i droppeedd the clutch... got good grip and took off....slammed it into second and was along side of him, then at about 60 i was by him and i missed 3rd gear... adjusted and slammed it in and my car gripped and just pulled in front of him... i looked in my rear view.. had room to move over and slid in foront of him and slowed down to the stop sign

ive raced a 3000gt SL and i spanked him.....he always used to talk **** too...like his car would rape mine...so i said lets do it...and he said aight....we raced and i beat him by 5 cars....shut him up for ever!!!

 

Saw an exhausted carbonfiber hood and i dont know what else VR4 at the track last friday running 13.7. Those are big cars approaching 4000lbs. Not bad but not what i would expect from a 320 hp + mods car.

 

SLs are slow. my buddies stealth rt tt (3000gt vr4) was hotness. he was runnin high 12s in that pig. AWD cars are so much, i don't care how much they weigh.

 

yea if it was a vr-4 i still woulda raced him, but i know i woulda lost.

 

Waste of time and money. Look sexy don't get me wrong, but I squeezed out a 12.9 in mine w/ bpu and anything more than that is gonna cause issues and some real coin.

 

true. when i used to street race, there was a beautiful white conv. that was BPU+. all the 4cyl cars feared the guy like the second coming. he was deep into the 12's, and a fun kill.

 

1995 VR-4 was the fastest with average time of 13.5. Which is the same time for the 1995 Supra turbo. & the 1995 300ZX running 13.9. The VR-4 IMO is the best in the class.

 

The 99's were fastest when tested by the mags. 13.4. Hell, I've seen somewebsites say a my '91 went 13.3. But everyone in the 3si world knows the 99's were fastest, coolest, and rarest.
