So I was on my way up to the store and look over to see a 93-97 model Camaro Z28. I throw a rev at him and he revs back so we start off the line and I let him hit it first, he waits until around 5mph or so before he hits it. We ran from about 5 mph-70ishmph (midway through 3rd) with me shutting down because of upcoming traffic. In that time I had steadily put 3/4 of a car on him (his front end was at my rear tire). I know he had his exhaust dumped and it sounded like LT's but I'm not sure. Regaurdless, should the race have turned out that way? I always assumed both LT1's and LS1's were both faster cars then 2v GT's even with my bolt ons (3.73 gears, CAI, O/R H, Flowmaster)

 

LT1s and 2vs are a close match stock Vs stock. You've got mods and a good running car. Sounds like an appropriate outcome to me.

I concur w/ Stone. LT1 F-bods and New Edge GT's are really a toss up. Seeing as in how you're prolly more modded than him, the results don't surprise me. Nice kill.

 

The gears alone could have made that big of a difference.

Good run man. I had a 93 Z and when my mustang was completely stock I kinda thought the stang was a tad bit faster but in the camaros defense it was 10 yrs older.
