Default 08 GT vs. Audi TT

So today my mom came on up for a little while so she could watch our daughter so my wife and I could go out together and have some time to ourselves.

Well my wife hasn't been in the Mustang since I put the new JLT and 93 tune on the car. So we're out just driving around the town for a while enjoying the 65 degree sunny weather when we decided to get on the highway and just go cruise for a bit. Well, as we turn on the feeder road I get on the gas pretty good so that she can feel the newfound power. Apparently a guy in an Audi TT (brand new body style) thought we were racing and gunned it too. Well since I wasn't in the throttle all the way he stayed right with me.

I let off and he he pulled right along side of me, and gave a big wave. He was an old dude and had a huge handlebar mustache and was smiling ear to ear. He followed me onto the highway and pulled up along side of me again. I was at like 4.5k in 2nd gear and he then he gunned it and I pulled on him right away but bounced off the rev limiter! DOH! Well he put about 1 car length on me due to my mistake and then I slowly reeled him in and passed him by the top of 3rd.

He pulled back up along side of me and gave me the thumbs up... I returned the favor. The funny thing is, the car is a lot quicker than I expected. I fully thought I would tromp him and I'm confident that if I didn't have an intake/tune that it might have been a different result. I looked up the specs and the V6 has 250hp and weighs 3100lbs... so I guess the speed it has makes sense.

Anyways, the wife likes the newfound HP (said she wants more!!!) and we had good bit of fun together!

The turbo-4 models are the ones to watch out for. Slower from the factory, but w/ mods, they're lethal.

You know, I only assumed it was V6 because of how well it performed... I guess it could have been the turbo 4 but with some mods.

yes they are awd. My mother was lookin at one for awhile and it was pretty quick when she let me test drive it. She decided it didn't have the room for her "shopping trips" so she opted for the G35x but nice kill man. They are quick little cars and the 225 is in the V6 I'm not sure what the stock turbo 4's have.

Older 1.8T TT's have 150, 180, or 225 hp depending on which year. The newer 2.0T TT's have 200hp. Tuning any of these motors is where the power comes from.

150/180hp 1.8T: 215hp/247lb-ft
225hp 1.8T: 263hp/267lb-ft
2.0T: 252hp/303lb-ft

Those numbers are from APR. My fiance has a 1.8T Beetle with APR's stage 1 ECU (215hp).

The V6 models are all AWD, the turbo-4's come in either FWD or AWD.

OP- It could very well have been a lightly modded 2.0T car. It would run about the same, maybe a little quicker than a stock V6 model. Either way the results sound right. Nice run.
