So a friend of mine has this nice 68' nova with a 350, 3 speed auto and has some pretty basic performance mods, probably pushing around 350bhp, I havn't seen him since i got my cobra and my old car was a white with black top vert, so i see him today and pull up beside him and throw a rev and him and he nails it at about 40, so im in 4th and and just leave it there and put my foot down, way outside the powerband, and just steadily pull him about 1 1/2 -2 cars by 90, so we pull over into the next gas station and start talking and hes like thats not your old car man for a second i thought i just got walked by a v6 i was about to loose it man. but it was fun and im hoping to go to the dragstrip this weekend with him if everything works out, so maybe some good stories and pix will follow. just thought i'd share.

heh hes smarter than that, the loud v8 exhaust kinda gave it away once we pulled into the gas station, hopefully i'll get a chance to race my other friend who has a 69 nova with a 383 stroker =) couple good novas around here

 

Tell him you put exhaust on it that made it sound that way, it's really a v6 on steroids
